THE POET ON THE MOON

THE POET ON THE MOON

by Sherif Awad
A new short film from Argentina, inspired by the cinema of
fantasy and science fiction of the 1950s. It tells the story of a child called Serguei
who, through his effort and courage, becomes a cosmonaut of the Soviet Union. Later
he is appointed to travel to the moon with the mission to carry the complete
works of the poet Alexander Pushkin. Soon this will reveal before his eyes a
secret that will make doubt all his beliefs.
THE POET ON THE MOON
The film’s running time is around 10 minutes which nominates
it to be screened in short film festival and especially Short Shorts in japan. The
leading actors give very noted performances in such few scenes. What’s promising
about the film is that it starts as a video art then delves in the realms of
narratives with an experimental touch.
